🎭 What We’re About

Treading the Bored isn’t just a theatre group — it’s what happens when local people decide Tuesday nights should be more interesting.

We’re a friendly, slightly chaotic, always enthusiastic bunch who love putting on shows at Rixton with Glazebrook Community Hall. Some of us act. Some of us sing. Some of us pretend we know what we’re doing with lighting and sound. Somehow, it all comes together.

We welcome anyone who fancies giving theatre a go — whether you dream of centre stage or prefer to stay safely behind the curtain. No experience needed. Just a sense of humour and a willingness to join in.

Our productions range from comedy sketches to full plays, usually with big characters, memorable moments, and at least one rehearsal where someone forgets their lines entirely.

But more than anything, we’re about people.
Meeting new friends. Sharing laughs. Building something together.
And enjoying that wonderful moment when the audience applauds.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, come along and see what we’re about.
